Durham Police chief under fire for stating that gunned-down public defender ?deserved? to be shot


This has to be one of the worst Law Enforcement Officers I have seen to date! A Public Defender is appointed by the court, how does this guy deserve to be shot?

Grazed by stray bullet as a bystander = gunned down? The guy isn't even a Public Defender. Who writes those headlines?

Anyway, right now they are allegations. If founded, he's gonna be looking for work real soon. Chiefs are appointed by the mayor, and being a major local political figure who serves at the leisure of someone who has to get re-elected, well, making controversy isn't good for your long term career prospects.
