Looks like a shotgun powder from Alliant, intended for 12-gauge loads. Some shotgun powders actually work very well in pistol cartridges. Good luck and let us know what you find.

A little e3 goes a long way in pistol calibers. I worked up a mid-range target load for the .45 ACP and 185 gr. lead semi-wadcutter bullet. It was 3.6 grains of e3. Some buddies have shot thousands of rounds of that load in their bullseye pistols with very good results. I never tried it in 9mm.

I am going out today to test my first batch of 9mm

3.8g with a 124 Blue Bullet round nose 1.085 OAL ( I will work up to 1.1 and see how my gun feeds )

I don't have a crono so I will just let you know how it feels and accuracy.

Anyone in the Fort wayne area have a crono that I can borrow? :draw:

I can bring one to the next Thurs. practice night. I was going to bring it in Aug anyway incase folks wanted to verify loads before the state match.

suggest having a few different loads ready to test so you can get an idea what load makes PF.

    Thanks Ryan!
I will load up some 147 and 124 loads to test out.
I am only minor power factor so is it going to make that much of a difference? Comparing my test loads with factory loads, it does seem softer but not by a ton.
It could also be that I don't really have any experience with this at all so my opinion is based on nothing.
