So I FINALLY got the hitch installed on the car. THAT was a month long odyssey involving two uhaul locations, only one hitch manufacturer that is out of stock, one lazy ass MFer who just threw up his hands in defeat because central warehouse wasnt sending him parts, and one KICKASS manager willing to drive from Indy to a Louisville store for me because they have 5 and central warehouse has zero. The manager at the Lyndhurst/W Washington location is DA MAN!

Anyway I get to the ramp and the gates are up. I pull in and look around. I dont see anywhere to pay. Just an abandoned pre-fab shack surrounded by overgrown weeds and trees, port-a-pots, and a 15x15 shelter with a picnic table. No sign of an office, an automated machine, nothing. Weird.

So apparently you dont have to pay anymore? Covid?

Anyway, it was a decent shakedown trip. No major calamities. Engine refused to idle in the lake even though it idled fine at home in the tank. Might need to play with the carb a bit. But that little boat gets up and MOVES.
