Today on my way home for lunch I saw this bird land. On the way back to work I saw the mate in flight. After work this one was still pulling meat from the deer. Thankfully posing for a couple pics.
We have a nesting pair near us(northern Minnesota),and witnessed what happens to a crow when it upsets two Bald eagles. The white in the water is feathers...the rest is pretty clear.
That is a cool sight! Saw two at work the other day in SW Fort Wayne. Looked like they were hunting ducks in the creek behind our shop. And, yes, we are near Eagle Marsh! LOL There are a couple nesting pairs around most of the time.
Was up in WI near Baraboo (North of Madison about 40 miles) at my friends place. His neighbor had a couple cattle go down and they put out a hind quarter in a field to see if they could attract some coyotes.
What they really attracted was eagles. We counted 59 eating on that thing.
