Anyone have experience with these? I have a couple axe heads that need rust removal before I rehandle them. Anyone in the Indy area have one I can check out?

I tried it a while back on some miscellaneous pieces, just to see how it worked. I works pretty well. It wont take pits out, but it will certainly get rid of rust. As Dorky_D said, check out some youtube vids. That and a general google search will bring up some how to's.

I was actually shocked how well it did work. You do have to use some sort of abrasive or scotchbrite on pitted, but dang it still works real good. You will also need to oil or WD-40 as soon as you pull it out to get rid of the water and to prevent re-rusting.

White vinegar will dissolve iron as well as rust. I tried it with my last project and ended up taking off a lot of metal to get through the heavy rust.
