    to answer the OPs question

Yes, I want a 10 gauge and I have been shopping around on-line and looking in various gun stores for the right gun at the right price.

Do I need one? I don't hunt waterfowl, but I might hunt turkey. But neither of those matter, I want one because it can blow the crap out of stuff better than anything and I will reload for it. You should see the slugs that can be had for that thing! How cool to shoot and 800 gr. bullet at things.

    I want a 10 gauge, I will very probably get a BPS.

Every once in a while I'll get the urge to buy a 10ga. In particular I really like the look and feel of the H&R heavy barreled single shot 10ga shotguns. I don't know what I'd ever use it for, but it just seems like it would absolutely destroy anything it hit. Maybe pumpkins after halloween, or something along those lines. I just see those things and wonder what a 10ga 00 shell would do (besides kill my shoulder).

    Anyone else ever get that?

I want to shoot a pistol grip with no butt stock 10 gauge while aiming at a target:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I had a New England 10 gauge single shot. I shot some 3-1/2" shells thru it. The recoil was quite strong. If I shot 5 or 6 shells, which I did on a couple occasions, my shoulder hurt the next day.

Hunt with my Remington 10, it's my go to gun for turkeys. Gets heavy after a day in the woods though.:)
