Hey guys, need some opinions on what to go with. Let me explain my situation. I am looking to get a 9 mm or .40 cal combat gun, and am wondering, in you alls opinion, what you would recommend between the glock 23/19 or the Springfield XDm series. I have an opportunity to either get the XDm 3.8 or the EXO glock 23 for roughly the same price. I have shot both, a while ago, and the XDm felt to have a bit lighter trigger. From what I understand that is very quickly fixed in the glock. Also, it's the 9mm XDm, which I want to shoot 9mm, but with the glock 23 EXO I can get a barrel chambered for 9 and switch up magazines and shoot both. The EXO is a really neat and relatively rare glock. My shooting background is coming from the 1911 platform, which is my concern with the glock, I've heard it's nothing similar to what I'm used to with my Kimber compact. I just want some pros and cons from you all regarding some personal experience. Thanks for all the help!

My 23 is my favorite polymer. I, as you, grew up on 1911's. Only thing I really needed was an extended slide release for me to get comfortable with it. Mine came with the 3.5lb trigger connector. Its unusually smooth for a glock. XD's were always too tall, in the slide, it seemed to me. But its whatever fits your hand better.
