We wanted to put target sights on my son's Ruger Mark I pistol. We found a rear sight at the last 1500. I checked the Ruger site for the part number and called Ruger in Arizona to buy the front sight (on the Mark I it is held on by a pin).
When the part arrived, it was the standard front sight, not the target front sight. The target sight is taller.
I called Ruger and discovered I had bought the part from "Accessories," not "Parts." They are two different areas!:dunno:
"Accessories" didn't have the target sight, "Parts" did.
The final result is that "Parts" sold me what I need for $8.50, including shipping, and "Accessories" refunded the $10.50, including shipping, I had paid for the wrong parts and said, "Don't bother to send them back because the shipping would be more than the parts cost."

So, if you order parts from Ruger, get them from "Parts," not "Technical Assistance" or "Accessories."

I also discovered I could have bought the rear sight for less than I paid at the 1500.

I am quite satisfied with Ruger service.:)

    Just wanted to share...
