Shooter means that you are banned for breaking the rules, so as Kutnupe points out, it's a title to avoid.

The vBulletin software calls it the "User Title". Like the others have posted the default settings are based on post count.

If you choose to become a paid Site Supporter you get the option of setting your own "Custom User Title".

Mine, for example, would normally read "Moderator", but I have the option to change it.

"User title" just didn't make any difference to me (it still doesn't). I was just wondering what it symbolized. I came here to get information, not brownie points.
