These days you can publish anything you want, call it a "study", not be required to show any proof, or make up the numbers, or juggle the numbers.

It is too bad that qualifications don't really count when it comes to someone getting elected to public office. And too bad truth plays no part as to why some get elected.

The flag made me do it is about as stupid as firearms cause people to become criminals.

But that doesn't mean this study was done that way.

It is too bad that qualifications don't really count when it comes to someone getting elected to public office. And too bad truth plays no part as to why some get elected.

    What are the qualifications?

The flag made me do it is about as stupid as firearms cause people to become criminals.

It is, but that's not what the study showed. A study like that can't show causation, only correlation. Lots of people attack studies because they confuse causation with correlation.

For instance, lots of rich people drive a Mercedes. That doesn't mean that driving a Mercedes will make you rich.

In about three hours, I'm going to be exposed to a U.S. flag and three various Confederate flags. I wonder what kind of effect that will have on me?

My question is why would the flag influence you one way or another.

The flag stands for the USA, a democratic republic.

The two major parties are the democrats and the republicans.

What we need to do is fly the Don't tread on me flag that would inspire all of us to vote for the good of the country rather than what is best for me.

    Nah. Would make no difference.

"Why?" is never answered in most studies. Just finding out the "what" makes it worthwhile.

Jumping too quickly to the "whys" is what leads us astray.
