I’m a proud independent and don’t care about Democrats or Republicans, and honestly, I don’t feel we’ve had a president that has been above reproach. GW was a moron, Obama complicit, Clinton sleazy, GHW status quo, and Reagan senile.

I’m amazed that so many die to defend the train wreck that is Trump. He only blurts nonsense to cover up whatever other nonsense came out of his mouth 2 seconds before that. As a lifelong Democrat, Trump really has diehard Republicans doing his dance. That at least is amusing.

Sure, I would pick country over party but in the case of Trump or Hillary I think Trump was better for the country. Sounds like you have never liked a President we have had so your Independent status must be a platform of hating everyone.

I read if the house votes articles of impeachment to the senate, at that point the Presidents defense has great scope in discovery and subpoena power. It was stated that McConnell would likely allow such latitude in defense. The point was dems may not even want to push it that far and just investigate, leak, and fund raise of this and not ever make the swing district members vote.

The House impeached, the Senate votes to convict. If it reaches the sSenate, the President has been impeached, a Senate conviction removes him from office due to the articles in the impeachment. Just like Billy Jeff, he was impeached, but the Senate didn’t convict him of the impeachment articles. Long winded way to say the Senate doesn’t impeach, they remove or do not remove.
