I have a new H&K 416 but it is in .22 LR. It is a great piece. If it is even close to the .223 I want one.
Had 2 Colts, loved both and regret selling them. Looking at another one right now.
Built one up with Rock River upper/lower-Wilson Barrel etc. and it is a joy at 400 plus when I can find that distance.
M&P M-4 full of hot rod parts. It is flawless.
DPMS full of the parts I took from the M&P. After all that it runs great. Sucked right out of the box. Every manf. has a fart come off the line and I got one from DPMS. I like it now.
Point is, they are all great. Some required a bit of work but they all are great in their own way.

Daniel Defense (or in the alternative Colt, BCM, Noveske, LMT, KAC, Larue) because . . .

    MP tested BCG
    MP tested barrel
    1:7 twist
    Properly staked gas key
    Properly staked castle nut
    Mil spec receiver extension
    M4 feed ramps
    4150 steel (barrel)

And the list goes on . . .

Why pay in the ~$1,000 range for a rifle that lacks the features mentioned above when one that possesses these features can be obtained at around the same price?

I just wanted to start a thread to see what AR15 Manufacturer everyone prefered and why. Let us know which one and a little description why you favor the one you like..... Of course pics are more than welcome!!:D

    Ill start it off...

I prefer a Daniel Defense, reason being they are proven to be very reliable, very accurate, they offer all premium accessories that are made of all high quality material. In my opinion its everything you need in one package! Thats my :twocents:

Im gonna say Spikes Tactical. What you get for the money can only be matched by PSA, but Spikes is more available with a full lifetime warranty. But I am a bit biased since I just purchased my 10.5" Spikes upper last night.

Armalite. They designed the darn thing*.

*Yes, I know the current Armalite has only passing connection to the original Armalite, but the current Armalite is STILL the most innovative M/AR-15 manufacturer in terms of advancing the design. And the Armalite NM is a SWEET shooter.

^^^^ rockhopper is my new INGO Hero (if not martyr)

    Hiding from reality
I have to go with Colt for manufacturer. I have my first Colt AR that I bought days before the AWB. I paid $500 and some change from, get this, DON'S GUNS. I had a buddy that was a manager Northside store back then. That same rifle has doubled in value. My go to AR is my first build Stag lower, DPMS parts kit, YHM quad rail around a Del-Ton upper. It is a decent shooter with a 1/9 twist, but the Colt is about 1/2 MOA better with the 1/7 twist. My Colt is on the left, and my build is on the right.

I don't have my rifle yet, but I chose a Daniel Defense. I chose over LE6940 because it's Cheaper for one, and two it offers everything a colt does plus more. The only thing that it doesn't have is a monolithic upper. (whoopty do) my :twocents:
