I'm in with the Gen 4. I've had several Gen 3 Glocks and I really like them. But after spending some time with the Gen 3 and Gen 4 side by side I like everything they've done with the Gen 4. The grippy textured frame and the backstraps are great and the oversize magazine release is fantastic. From what I've noticed, the dual recoil spring isn't taking much snap/felt recoil but it is taking some of it. After being quite a skeptic on them, I'm a Gen 4 Glock guy now.

I have a Gen 2 G23 and its a great gun. I have shot a gen 3 G21 and actually liked it a little more although I think that it has more to do with the G21 being a full size than a difference in the frames. I am thinking about a G22 but will never part with my G23

My first Glock was the 2nd gen, after buying a 3rd gen, Thought I could get used to the grip, etc

I'd much prefer to buy a mint 2nd gen again, BUT after I get my new Sentinel magwell I think I will like my 3rd just as much as my 2nd:dunno:

I like my gen 3 26 better then the gen 4 26 I had originally looked at after the 19. At the same time, I dig the grip of the gen 4 19 sans straps.

I'm a lefty, and had a gen 4 for that reason, but in the last couple years I've migrated to the gen 2s. I would like to have an OD G19 sometime though.

Gen 2 and 3 17s and 19s. Definitely like the 2s for no rail or finger grooves. Only advantage the 3 has is an extra tear down pin but makes it better. Overall my nod would go to 2nd gens.

Gen 2 but will take any gen if someone wants to give one to me. The finger groves are not the right size for my hands. That's why I have only one Gen 4 and no gen 2 1/2 or 3.

I have a G-17 I bought in the early 90s from Albros. You guys likely call it a Gen 2.5 because it has the rail and the thumb rests of the Gen 3 but with only two pins of the Gen 2.

My G-17 also has a God Given Serial number: the three alpha and three numeric serial number is that of the name of my best friend in Vietnam and the month and day of my birthday.

When I saw that serial number I had to buy the pistol. This Glock 17 will stay with me all the days of my life. It'll then go to my Nephew.

There is a God and He does work with firearms too.

I have all the generations represented (except the RTF) and I still EDC my Gen 2 G19.... I never cared for the finger grooves on the 3rd gen so I do like the Gen4s for the grip.

I think I like the Gen 4 best. I have a pair of Gen 3 sf (20 and 29) and those are really comfortable. I have a Gen 3 23 and a Gen 4 27. I like the grippy-ness of the Gen 4 and the smaller frame works well for me too. It's really a close tie between them though, but if I saw a Gen 3 G21sf and a Gen 4 G21, I'd be more inclined to go with the Gen 4.
