Favorite south bend restaurant?

Taking my sister to the airport tomorrow and we usually go out to eat before she leaves. I convinced her to not make me drive to Chicago this year so what are the best restaurants in the area?

here are a few of the independently owned places. there are of course all of the "big box" chains, but it would all depend on what cuisine and price you are looking at.

It isn't fancy, but I always like Fiddlers Hearth.
the Oaken Bucket has good food.

Can't remember the name, but there is a Mexican restaurant that is famous for it's "big as your head" burritos that is pretty good.

Yep, with a big old Guinness (on tap of course), I am a happy camper.

if you like burgers, CJ's Pub at Wayne and Michigan has the best burgers in town.

Kate O'Connor's pub. It's in New Carlisle but only 10 min from the SB airport.

The pub burger at Eddies is the best in town. I miss working close to there. Used to order about 15 of them every other week for the guys in the shop, back when it was $3.25 for a burger, fries, and a pickle. Damn I'm old.

I am more of the small-town tavern type.. so I will recommend Bob's 19th Hole and Pejza's on the West side of South Bend, in Lydick. Great pub/bar food and friendly people. "Where everybody knows your name.... "

It used to say on their sign that they had the best looking waitresses in town. It was not a lie. Still have good food though.
