Federal and ported barrels

Just bought a box a federal 9mm ammo, and it says on the box "do not use in firearms with ported barrels or ported recoil compensator. Do you think this is a liability issue? I have shot this stuff out of a compensated gun with out issues. Not really worried about it just curious.

I wonder if it doesn't have something to do with the powder mix than anything. IE - not being "low flash"

But I admit that I've not seen that on any of the packages I've purchased...of any brand. Maybe I'll start looking for it!
