Words escape me when I think of the immoral, corrupt leadership we have in Washington right now. We certainly live in interesting times and this is but a taste of what we will have to endure, but on a much broader scale, if we don't plant our feet and take a (peaceful) stand against such madness. We get what we tolerate and history has shown us all too often how this sort of thing ends up, so we might as well do the right thing and stand on the good side of history!

After MUCH thought here is how I fall in this..


Of course she is incorrect about the need or utility or even constitutionality of her proposed bill. But I fail to see the justification in exempting anyone from a bad law. Democrats are famous for this, both personally and professionally. Feinstein has a concealed carry permit which means she has been identified by the California system as an excepted person, based on a totally unscientific and arbitrary system. And she says no one except the police should be exempted from her proposal. Including veterans. She is half right. Neither police, retired police or veterans should be exempt because they are not superior to non veteran, non police retiree in any definable way when it come to gun rights.

It is by exempting groups with considerable clout that Congress gets the support of those exempted and then rely on the "impartial professional input" of those very experts that they sell the laws in the first place.

There is no conceivable reason why any of these exalted folks should have a superior standing to buy and sell guns without background checks to the rest of the American people.
