    A poet once said ......

If you love something let it go, if it comes back it is yours forever. OK that was really "someone" but it works for guns too.:rockwoot:

A 1911 is a thing of beauty forever. I'm trying to count in my head how many I have and can't do it....

    2 Colt's (Gov't & Commander)
    2 Para's (14-45 & 16-40)
    2 Springfield's (TRP & LW Champion)
    5 Dan Wesson's (2 .45's, 3 10mm's)
    1 IAI (Commander-sized .45)
    1 Kimber (Pro CDP .45)
1 Fed Ord that is a dedicated .22
    1 Taurus PT1911 w/rail

    I think that's it....:dunno:

I'll try to get a family photo one of these days :)

(And since they were designed by JMB, I also have 4 Hi Powers.

I am saving up for a 1911 right now.

I'm not. I've had two, they ran fine for what they were. But, when I hear James Yeager at Tactical Response say the none make it through his pistol courses, save an occasional Kimber, I just can't justify spending money on something that can't handle 500 rounds of moderate work.

Not trying to hijack the thread, back on course.

They look great, have the classic look of hardiness and the movies portray them as 'empowering and awesome' for sure. I also like the controls and 'cocked and locked' better than my Glock 'safety' trigger.

Kimber and it's Crimson Trace grips, a stainless and rosewood Kimber looks beautiful for sure.

Dunno. My Springfield TRP made it through a 2 day Tactical Response Fighting Pistol class. But Shay was the primary instructor, not Yeager....
