Finding a rifle

Hello all! I am new here and a young gun owner. My family has always been involved with guns so I have been around them since I was little. I am currently looking to get a long rifle and have done a lot of research. Thus I am looking for a Remington Model 700 Police .308 26" barrel or a Winchester Model 70 Stealth .308 26" barrel. The problem that I am having is finding a brand new one here in Indiana. Thus I am coming to you guys to see if you know where I might get one without having to pay a bunch extra. I found the model 700s in Kentucky for $799 in Shotgun news but won't I have to pay shipping and FFL transfers? Please let me know if you know where I can find either one of these guns here in Indiana for around this $800 price. I have reached out to a few dealers and I have got a response about the model 700 but they are wanting $899, I think that is a little much considering both list around 800-850 from the manufacturers. Again let me know if you can be any help in locating either gun. I might wait and look at the 1500 if need be.

One of my customers told me last Friday that he ordered a 700 Police from Cabela's in Hammond 3 weeks ago. It is supposed to be in October 20.

I think he said he is getting it for $800.

I am just reporting what I know, I don't make any judgements.
