Knowing several firefighters and how lonely they get, I'm not sure I'd want to be on the receiving end of that.

i know several too, and they have never been lacking in the ahem .... companion department. if I was single I would been a fireman! unlimited women! but since im married and my wife use to work on an ambulance she know what goes on at the firehouses as well as I do, so she wont let me become one :(

not bad though. theres only 2 things she has ever said no too. motorcycles (which im gonna accidentally buy one this year) and a job as a fireman. I can buy all the guns I want and she never says squat :):

The only thing I would grab is my BOB because its on the way and my laptop if I remembered it.

I have about a weeks worth of extra supplies (camping gear, money, gun, ID's, insurance info, clothing, medication, first aid, emergency numbers) in the mini barn that should at least get me and the fam into a hotel until insurance kicks in.

All of my computer files and pictures are backed up online and extra copies of the photos are on SD cards at my parents and her parents.

Aside from people the things I would miss the most are the photographs.

So 90 seconds I am good to go with a fire. House is a ranch so no second story and about a million windows so evac is easy if one or both exits are blocked. I will never own a two story house... I hate stairs!
