I do not understand this, Christys state that they only deliver to a FFl.
They also state that they do not ship anything.

I have never participated in an online auction.
How am I suppose to obtain the item I bid on?

    Copy & paste

    Q- Does Christy's offer shipping?

A- Christy's does not offer shipping. We will work with any shipping company to get the items shipped out to you. You as the buyer are responsible for any and all shipping. We prefer local pick up at the items location.

Q- Does Christy's have packing material or loading equipment at the items location.
A- No we do not provide any packing material, or help loading at the item locations.

Christy's statement on the firearms page. copy & paste

I called last week before placing a bid and was told they prefer firearms be picked up in person. The 18% buyers premium includes the transfer fee. Agreed, their website could be clearer.

My guess is, once you win, you arrange for ups/FedEx/pony Express to pick it up and deliver to your FFL shop.

Gee does this make any sense.
Christy's will just hand the firearm over to any one in a delivery uniform.

I can just hear the conversation, Yea that is the one. Just make sure it goes to a FFL. We do not want it to get in the wrong hands.
Later that day: Who was that masked man?
I do not know. He did have on a delivery service uniform.
    OH that makes it OK.

I will be the first to admit that I know nothing about the value of a Smith & Wesson Victory Land Grant 38 cal. revolver (Lot 45), but was that gun worth $171.10? Please educate me.

for a shooter possibly. It was just a standard Smith victory model, but someone nickeled it and chopped the barrel, as well as filled the hole in for the lanyard ring. If it functioned well, it could have been a fair shooter. I have no idea where they got the land grant thing at.. lol. perhaps the owner remembered lend-lease and convoluted it into land grant over the years....
