    While early bow can yield results, most folks find it better right before gun season.
    And in gun season, most deer killed opening and 2nd weekend.
    So hunt those and stay up when others get down.

    Or sit in a stand or sneak around every friggin day starting Oct 1,

    I don't give a flip.

    Never had the chance to take a deer with a bow. Have shot traditional bows for years. Think I will give it a go this year. Have my own property that I know intimately.

    Been shooting a 50 lb trad bow, now I have an 80 lb Howard Hill. My own arrows of hickory shoot exceptionally well from it.

    Maybe this year....

    Saw an 80# HH at a shop not long ago.
    I'll be running a 55# Blackwidow HS this year.
    Running carbons though.
