I dont understand (the knockout game aside) how this moron didnt know there were cameras watching AND im sure the bar had his or one of his buddies credit cards for the tab. How on earth did he think he was going to get away with it and not get caught even if he managed to get out of the bar after he assaulted them two? Not only is this moron a coward but he is not very good at planning either and that makes him a idiot as well. He deserves to do some time in the pen. He was well above legal age so he had to of known better. No blaming this one on alcohol. Ive drank before and Ive never even considered pounding on anyone let alone a woman, all because I was "bored". THROW HIM IN JAIL and leave him there for an extended time!

He was playing the knockout game. Do you really think he's all that intelligent?

Man charged with battery resulting serious bodily harm, serious bodily harm being the justification for lethal force.

The punch to one victim, the woman, resulted in brain injury of a concussion, hearing loss and balance problems. She may live with these problems the rest of her life.

For those who don't believe a potential victim of a single punch can "believe a punch can result in serious bodily harm or death", here is another case to reference should you ever need to shoot someone in self defense when someone decides to challenge you to a knockout vs quick draw game.

Really think you'll win that contest? Good luck. I'd recommend having other options besides the gun to deal with this kind of problem.

I would feel just fine shooting a guy who was gambling weather his punch would disable me for life or kill me. The charge was "battery with result in serious bodily harm". I believe the law is you are justified in using deadly force if you believe "serious bodily harm" will result if you don't respond. This case definitely meets the requirement. Not that I would put my freedom on the line for someone else in this exact situation, but if another person had witnessed the person punching the first person they would have been justified even if it were not their life in danger. This poor woman is very likely going to live with a brain injury for the rest of her life, and that is definitively something to avoid, even if by deadly force. Her family will have to live with these changes, she may lose her drivers license with a loss of balance etc. Brain injury is no joke, and I would rather he were dead than she lived with a brain injury the rest of her life.
