Hello. My username is a title that describes a mindset and comprehensive approach to combative training for the modern military. The idea is to be able to fight from the ground (Jiu Jitsu) to standing at an arms reach (Judo and Muy Thai), then to striking distance with a blunt weapon (Kali), then to immediate projectile range which includes a long rifle, generally a carbine, and pistol, known as reflexive fire and transition firing inherent to and encompassed in CQC (close quarter combat) tactics, techniques and procedures out to a distance of 50 meters. Then basic rifle marksmanship with the a carbine or rifle of smaller caliber out to 300 meters, which also includes IMT (individual movement techniques) and SUT (small unit tactics or patrolling) and finally rifle marksmanship of a larger caliber out to 800 meters, which includes sniper tactics and techniques.

I am trying to get the hang of this blogging thing. First time user. I am interested in marketing my skills and experience for potential training oppertunities for interested gun owners, non owners, and all around patriotic americans who want to learn how to protect themselves and their fellow americans safely and effectively.

Hello Reg, and any other newbies who may follow. The problem you are having with contacting a seller just after you join is one of the more frequently asked questions/problems. Basically, although many people find out about this site because of the classifieds, this site is actually designed to emphasize community. That means that simply creating an account is not enough to buy/sell here.

The very short version of the rules is that it takes 50 "quality" posts (not simple one-liners, me toos, etc) to allow you to use the classifieds or if you don't like posting or want the faster route, you can pay a $10 site supporter fee. Either way shows that you are willing to give a little to help support the site and helps to filter out some of the less respectable characters on some free buy/sell sites.

You can read about these rules in much greater detail here in the FAQs. Trust me, seeing a newbie post a bunch of junk just so they can get in to snap up a good deal instead of it going to a contributing member is one of the more annoying things we see here and the moderators are good at minimizing that problem. Trying to bypass that restriction will not get you off to a good start.

Welcome to the INGO. Glad you found us. Enjoy all of the info and participate in the discussions, ask questions, and enjoy. Once you've been around for a bit, the classifieds will be available.

#7 I found INGO accidentally right after it was formed. I remember the old days when there were less than 100 members, and where posts were unlimited and kudos were sparse. Since that time i have seen other forums come and go some being successful and others not so much. I find myself sitting on the fence trying to decide what way I might fall. I miss my INGO friends. That is if I actually have any? I have learned the difference between real friends and fair weather friends, I hope to pass that onto others and to meet some more real life friends...JC

Howdy, I'm a newbie, My user name is a Common sound to the Gun lovers! Indy has always been my home, the north side. 1st fire arm was a 22 rifle, still have over 26 years later. (real wood stock)
I've been hunting but not too much, just here and there.
The emergencies to prepare for, thats kinda easy , stock up, rotate, try to keep other folks in mind, family, friends. I've always helped others , I just cant stop, even when they dont deserve my help. (yup easy touch)
I found the site while looking for info about a new gun I would like to try/get.
Skeet /trap is one of my addictions.

Hi, I'm new here, just did a search online for a spurless hammer for an SP101 and a post from this sight came up. If anyone has a spurless hammer they'd like to sell me, please let me know.

I live in Richardson, Texas, but my wife is from Niles, MI across the border from South Bend. We're up there at least twice a year.

My first gun is a Ruger GP100, promptly followed by a Remington 870 Wingmaster then a Remington 1100 and now a Ruger SP101.
