    Throw a snap cap in and practice away. I found that after a few minutes it becomes controllable and the force needed to release the slide becomes instinctive.

    Yeah the video lines up to what I was kind of thinking. i would just hate to have a "click" if your life is on the line, a guy can pick the round up off the ground when training at however many cents that may be. To each his own, I'm cheap too

    I'd like for Mr. Yeager to demonstrate his assertion that "it may not pick up a round". Since the mag is inserted fully by the time the time the slide starts coming forward, if it doesn't pick up a round, you've got bigger issues.

    This is odd. I have 3 of these and when ammo is out (slide locked backwards), my slide doesn't go forward by itself after I put fresh mag in, I have to press the slide release first.

    EDIT: ****, I just tried it and it sure does slam by it self but I have to really slam the mag hard. During USPSA, I don't recall slamming the mag that hard.
