    Thats an old video of a bottom of the barrel fobus holster. Keep that in mind.

    Kydex is being outpaced by newer, stronger materials with much higher melting points. That said, most of the issues with the paddles are due to the the way the two pieces of kydex are connected, not so much the material. That is exactly what the two winners in the video are exploiting, the two crappy 'buttons' that hold that fobus together.

    Also the older kydexc gets and the more you use it, the more it becomes stressed and prone to breakage.
