Did anyone else see the individuals holding flags on a couple (that I saw) overpasses on I-65 today? I wish I had noted the exact mile markers, but I believe the first was just north of Lafayette and the second was around the 200MM.
At least a half dozen people stood on each overpass, holding flags over traffic both NB and SB. It was a simple yet pretty powerful showing of patriotism, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who felt overwhelmed and maybe a little emotional as I passed underneath. A huge +1 to these individuals for their time and love of country.
In following, another HUGE +1 to all of our first responders and service members and their families for the sacrifices they make for each of us - you are true heros and I am eternally grateful for your service.

    God Bless America! :patriot:

yep. Saw a few overpasses that were "manned". That's only in quotes because I think I saw a woman on one, too.

And on another note, since when did driving 75mph all of a sudden make me the slowest vehicle on the road? Sheesh!

I remember seeing this done right after 9/11/01. We were on motorcycles, and went under the underpass- there were several people holding a huge flag. I'm not sure what hwy it was, somewhere in west/central IN. It was really cool though.
