I think you are talking about the recoil rod, or guide rod. And yes there is a laser made just like that. Its not just for the military you can buy them freely from Lasermax.

I dont think they have one yet for the FNP 9, but if and when it's available it's on the list for sure.

Ran about 200 rounds through my new FNP 9 today, flawless. Plus I shot about 50 out of the Mosin, couple hundred .22 LR, 50 or so out of the Tec 9, and another 50 rounds 00 buck out of my HD 870 Express. My two sons ( 16 and 14) were there and shot as much or more than I did. Wow what a day, had a blast with my family at the range. Now I have to save up some $$$ so we can shoot like that again soon.
