Barrel nut removal tool

I took a 3/4in nut, reamed out the threads and bored a 3/32in hole in the side. Slide it over the barrel nut, insert the shank end of the 3/32 drill bit or the tip of a 3/32 punch and twist it off. Ta Da! What do you think that cost?
