I just found this stuff and it works really well! It's very dry so there isn't any moisture to deal with and it's a lot less weight than the stuff I normally use.

I picked that size of container up from Rural King for about $13 and I was able to fill 2 small and 2 large shooting rests and still had a bit left over. Normally that would take about 35lbs of litter, this was less than half of that. Next time you go to fill a set I highly recommend it.

I don't have a kitty so never thought of using kitty litter for my sandbags. Assume it is less dusty and gritty than sand, oh and much lighter! Good idea.

Using kitty litter isn't anything new, I just found and really like the extra light stuff. Still heavy but cuts my bag weight (and pressure on the seams) in half.
