certain days to get gas? Nope, don't know about that.

This was down in Louisiana in the 70'sduring the gas shortage.

If your license plate ended in an even number you could get gas on certain days and if it was an odd number you could get gas on the opposite days. Sometimes the wit was over 2 hours or so.

    2, 10 and 38:dunno: That's what I get.

We had a half way decent antenna in Rockville and could get channel 4 on occasion.
In junior high, we got our first VCR. It was about the size of a riding lawn mower, and made enough noise when running that you could hear it from a few feet away.
I didn't have a TV in my room until my room was in my apartment.
I didn't own a computer of any variety until 1995.

I am NOT in the under 30 group.

I had a black and white tv in my room for a long time. I actually preferred it, because I could turn the knob and get in all the pay channels, until they redid the cable and then put them on higher channels. My first computer was acquired in 2001 just before I graduated high school. As for stealing music, yeah I taped it off the radio. Oh I'm 27.

We had the Atari 2600! With games
    like 'Space Invaders' and 'Asteroids'.

Remember Pong? Pong was the BOMB!!!

certain days to get gas? Nope, don't know about that.
There was a time in the 70's when gasoline was rationed. People waited in line for hours to get their share.

OH! And remember afro's? The bigger the better!

I admit. My first stereo system consisted of two giant speakers, an 8-track player and a turn table. I was the cool chic on the block!

When I was young, our phone number was BR5-4922 and our ring was, 2 longs and a short.

When you wanted to use the phone, first you had to pick it up to see if anyone else was already on the line!
We were on a party line, that was shared with 4 or 5 other families on our gravel road.

Sunday nights we watched Ed Sullivan and then Bonanza, in color, we were living the high life!

I am not in the under 30 group!

    :D

I didn't see you in my house when I was growing up? How do you know all about my childhood?:dunno:
I am NOT in the under thirty group, for more than 20 years now!:oldwise:

I still have an 8-track player/recorder that works. I also have a mechanical pencil from a place I used to work for that has a 4 digit phone number on it.
