    the first knife ever made in cpm rex 121 w/ a RC hardness of 68-70 (this is not a typo) a completely custom chopper all ready to go and for only 1500 dollars plus shipping (this isn't a typo either lol) here is the link to it with some info on the steel. he said it took him 50 ceramic belts at 50 grit and 6 more to finish it. that's just plain insane.

    yeah. this stuff is going to go into the pile with NiTol.... its pretty neat, but tooling costs and such are going to price it out of the park for most average and midrange knife users and buyers.

    very cool though! i might try a piece on a folder (only 30 belts for that one!! 30x $7 belt.... $210. hm... defintely work go into a "what knife can i buy for $50 thread!!! LOL!!!!).

    farid makes some nice knives and I would sell a kidney to buy one, but I would have to sell another to buy all the belts to sharpen it.

    its a beast of a blade and that rc is crazy high. i would hope it holds a edge forever basically because i'm not sure any regular person could get it sharpened lol
