Working on putting a V8 in my Ranger and its just going to be easier to use a whole truck than piecing something together. Im looking for a late 80s-1996 F150,250,350,Or a V8 Ranger lol, with a manual tranny and a 4x4. Preferably a 5.0 HO, 5.0 EFI, 5.8 EFI, or perhaps a Diesel (hehe sounds fun). 4.9l straight 6 would be fine as it still uses the Ford Small Block bellhousing pattern. I dont care what it looks like as long as the drive train is ok. Frame could be rotted out snapped in I can see through the body, flooded, rolled down a cliff just need a good complete drivetrain. Axles would would be a plus cause Im considering attempting a Dana 44 TTB swap. Not because its easy but because its hard lol. have my doubts anybody looks here but Ill giver a shot.

What goals do you have for the ranger? I would stay away from ttb as I prefer solid axle. Just to through out an idea a 4 bt cummins looks pretty nice.
