Went to the mailbox today and there it was, an envelope from the ATF.
Good it has been pending since May 18th.
To my surprise it was the Form 1 returned, do to unable to scan fingerprint cards.
I called and asked the lady at the NFA Branch if I had to wait another four months for approval? She really could not say. Maybe my SBR will be my Christmas present.
    Anyone else have this before?

Go get your money back from your local PD that did the prints. ;)

USUALLY, when they get the corrected info back on incorrect forms, the wait is not as long to get them approved.

Hard to say with prints though. I've heard that they do them in-house, and I've also heard that they send them to the FBI. Not sure which is true.

They were inked prints. With all the finger prints that I have done. I didn't think they were bad. I have rolled a lot of fingers.
I'll go back to Danville and have them done Monday.
I have another project to work on, a Kahr Thompson. An other SBR I will get the papers going on it this month.

I had the same problem because I didnt put my social on one of the cards. Stupid, yes I know. Regardless, I go mine back after sending it in again about 3 weeks later. So dont worry about it to much. If they are sending it back that means that they are processing it and usually wont make you start from the beginning when they get it back.

It's kind of funny seeing people complain about 2-3 month waits. 10 years ago, 1 to 2 year waits were the norm.
