Never been to Hillside. Website makes place look real nice. Are you a member double t?

My wife is "gifting" me a membership for christmas. Been there a couple times, and am waiting to join. The facility is awesome. Have not shot on the rifle range (yet) as the only rifle I own is a 10-22, but hopefully that can be changed at christmas soon.


Hillside has the shop which is separate from the ranges, but they do some clay pigeon shooting off the deck out back behind the shop.

Their prices on Lead bullets are great as well, they have a local supplier

Thanks for the list slough. Ossian would be nice as i'm from the area. I'll look into a private range soon. But was kind of wanting to shoot tomorrow.

OCC won't hold a candle to FWRR. Saying that though, Ossian is convenient if you live on the South side of the Fort. It's also nice because a high percentage of the time you will be down there by your lonesome...

After you take Sloughfoot up on his offer and still want to see OCC, give me a holler... I am a member and can take a guest and we could shoot a few rounds and give you a quick tour of the grounds.

Thanks for all the replies!!! Yes I am looking for a place where I can be with like minded people, and not have to worry about being bothered. I do like the "range" when I am siting something in, but I am looking to do more self guided training where I would be shooting and moving. Not really an option at a standard range. If anyone has a club already, or just wants someone new to train with let me know!
