This gun control group was founded by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Boston Mayor Tom Menino, two of the most virulently anti-gun politicians in America.
MAIG and its members, including Mayor Tom Henry, focus their efforts on the promotion of new gun control laws and regulations. MAIG favors regulating gun shows out of business, opposes the right of law-abiding citizens to defend themselves with firearms, and strongly supports the use of a secret government list to deny people their Second Amendment rights. MAIG is also a willful participant in the ruse of blaming American gun ownership for violent crime in Mexico an Obama Administration scandal known as "Fast and Furious."
Bloomberg and his anti-gun mayoral coalition for years have blamed the Second Amendment freedoms of Americans for Mexican crime rates, lobbying Congress and the Obama Administration to put more restrictions on American firearm retailers and gun owners to prevent the "illegal gun trafficking" across the border with Mexico.
