Our teams go over seas sometimes and we host furriners, most often the Canadian Snowbirds since they are so close by. These are Alpha Jets, a trainer or light attack craft. They are cute. :) I would MUCH rather they sent Rafale's. Those are serious aircraft and I would love to see in person what they can do with that canard.

    Thanks for the info :yesway:

They are light attack Alpha jets from the 70's.
They are only used for demonstrations by the PAF (Patrouille de France) and as a trainer for new pilots.

They are travelling with an Airbus A 400M (cargo plane) as well.

Is the Red, White & Blue their normal paint scheme, or something special for this tour???

It's their normal colors since it's also the colors of our national flag.
But they got a special paint job on the tail for that trip.

They usually have the French flag on their tail:

For their US tour they have a new design on their tail, with little planes instead of stars, to represent the US Flag:

The shots of them over KSC are fantastic!

One of my wife's cousins works there. I just texted him to see if he was able to witness the flyover.

Also - need more pics of that Airbus! That's a great looking plane!!

They take pictures from the back of the A400M so it's not on many pictures.
On that picture you can see they are flying with the ramp open.

That picture was taken from one of the Alphajets I believe.
They are traveling with 10 and only 8 are on the picture.
