Our teams go over seas sometimes and we host furriners, most often the Canadian Snowbirds since they are so close by. These are Alpha Jets, a trainer or light attack craft. They are cute. :) I would MUCH rather they sent Rafale's. Those are serious aircraft and I would love to see in person what they can do with that canard.

There is also a Rafale display team touring the US right now.
They met the Alpha Jets of the PAF on the same air show the other day.

Though.... in reality, putting them in drydock helps.

I was a nuke, RC Div. (Reactor Control Division). So generally in drydock I had other things to do. If there was painting for me to do, it was in "Machinery 2 Upper Level" (Auxiliary Machinery 2 Upper Level).
Outside Hull would be done by Deck Division. Deck Division was crewed by "non-rates". People that weren't "rated" for a job, such as sonar, radio, cook, torpedoman, etc. Often, they'd do time in Deck Div, watch other people, figure out they wanted to go do a better job, and they'd "strike" for that job. They'd have to get some manuals, show that they've done work to try to learn the new profession, then get permission from the chain of command to go to that school.
