    This speech gets pretty well ignored every time it is posted.

    Eisenhower was the Supreme Commander of the Allied forces in Europe, and the President of the United States. He's about as 'in the know' as one can get.

    The fact that he wrote this message into his own farewell address should really tell us something.

    And in 50 years time, the Military-Industrial Complex has become far more powerful.

    But nevermind that. We've got Iranians to kill. OOH RAH

    Ten Companies Profiting Most from War
    Of the 100 companies on the list, 44 are based in the U.S., including Boeing, Northrop Grumman and Lockheed Martin. The American companies account for more than 60% of arms sales revenue of the 100 manufacturers. Seven of SIPRI’s top 10 are American, one is British, one is Italian and one is a multinational EU conglomerate. The U.S. federal government has contract deals with all seven American companies. These seven are among the top 10 U.S. federal contractors by amount procured, according to the government’s Federal Procurement DataSystem.

    Standing armies never stand for very long. The owners of the armies will find someplace for them to march off too, even if its just to make a buck or two for them or thier close friends.
