Good to be a member. I have always enjoyed firearms, shooting competitively and generally discussing weapons of all sorts (prefer American military used and American made weapons). Was directly involved with the USMC Shooting Team in Quantico VA from 1986-1988. "Legged" a bronze in rifle and won the Combat Infantry Trophy Medal during the Marine Corps Match of 1986 (Both with M1A--AWESOME gun if you ever get a chance to fire it). Yep...I am an old Marine. LOVE the M1911 platform. Have had a few of them Regularly shoot my Springfield M1911A1 45ACP. Keeps me sharp. Besides teaching hundreds of Marines to shoot competitively, also introduced and taught 2 sons and my wife to respect and shoot all my weapons. They all have their own guns now. Feels pretty good to have been the one to share shooting with family. Anyone want to discuss matches, I have competed in many--never Camp Perry though (bummer). Anyway, good to be here.
