Yep. Marked up to be marked down and still more than it is on the shelves in other places. So said a guy shopping around.

A Gander Mountain "sale" usually marks stuff down to everyone else normal price. They have to do this every once in a while to clear out inventory, because people normally  when they see Gander's non "sale" prices.

    Please. Read.

Gander Mtn. is actually clearing out some QUALITY stuff at GOOD prices because they no longer wish to stock these items.

I bought out their stock of 7mm partitions at $12/50. Look at Midway's price on this particular bullet:

Partition Bullets 284 Cal 7mm (284 Diameter) 160 Grain Spitzer Box of 50

This is not a "knock the price down to normal levels and convince them we're not evil" sale. This is a "we're getting out of this product line and need the shelf space. Either sell 'em or throw them out" sale.

If you reload, especially higher end rifle bullets, check it out - you might find some deals.

I was just there, prices are very good. Nothing that I load though.

They have green dot 4lb jugs for $35, Clays 8lb for like $70, RCBS rifle dies for $20-$25, etc. Tons of rifle bullets. I would have bought the .38 and .45 stuff but that is not on the 50% sale, mainly rifle and shotgun 50% off.

    Loaded up today

It's true, great deals today. These are not "marked up to mark down" sales. See my post in the General forum.
