Future Range Report Ideas

Not being a military rifle guy (yet!), I'd need to enlist the aid of some military rifle enthusiasts to bring their wares to the range....Know anybody?

I think you can probably drum up a few of us that can support.

I could offer:

Enfield No4 mk1* (.303)
Mosin Nagant M38 (7.62x54r)
K98 Mauser and Turk Mauser (8mm)
M1 Carine (.30 Carbine) - This could be its own set of "myths" to bust too

and hopefully in a few months pending some future acquisitions:

M1 Garand (M2 Ball aka 30-06)
Swiss K31 (7.5 Swiss)

I think there might be at least 1 Mod out there with a Mosin he could use for the test as well.

I like that idea... I could possibly supply an M1 Garand and a 1903

I'd like to see a report on the differance barrel length makes on penetration...
22lr pistol vs rifle
22 mag pistol vs rifle

45 long colt pistol vs rifle
44 mag pistol vs rifle
223 same
7.62 x 39 same
I think it would be interesting to see which ones fall on their faces or excel

hmmm I've got 2 mosins (M44 and 91/30) in the safe, along with a German K98 with Nazi markings, appears unfired and is numbers matching

I could also get access to an M1 carbine and a yugo mauser 8mm. I also have another friend with a Argentine mauser as well.

I really like this surplus war rifle showdown idea! Maybe throw in a couple modern day bolt action rifles to compare. Everyone knows the mosin nagant owns already...

Without reading pages 3-5, I'll post right here and now that I have a few full sheets of 1/2" drywall in my garage. Free for INGO testing use. If I have to deliver it, my fee is 1 full magazine through each weapon being tested on my drywall. If you're shooing belt-fed goodness, I'll waive the delivery fee.

I would love to see an INGO Box o' Truth. watching 300x200 resolution youtube videos just isn't the same.
