I saw this on Club's website and thought I'd give members a heads up:

Rules change at Marion County Fish and Game!Effective immediately - "On the main range, when moving to a different shooting position which is more than one lane from your current shooting position, you must unload and case or holster firearm before moving".
This new rule is effective immediately and will be added to the online rule book as soon as possible.

I was under the impression that this rule was already in effect. Oh well, I'm wrong a lot. I've been following this "new" rule for over a year now. Its easy to comply.

I've seen people move from the far right end (usually pistol / shotgun lanes in my experience) to the lane that has the steel plate. That can be 10+ lanes depending on where you started from.

Would guess that there's concern of people sweeping other folks during that transition so they formalized the rule.
