And odds are it'll sit in those boxes in the office building for about 3-4 years and then find its way to one of the many shipping containers located on property used as outside storage. Non climate controlled and only as secure from the elements as the lowest bid used container it sits in. It's a long slow paper death. And b4 someone asks, law prohibits them from electronically scanning them and putting them in a "data base".
Goes to Martinsburg WV and gets put on microfilm (eventually) to help with background traces for guns recovered in crimes, from felons, etc.
