Yup no problem. we go vertical due to my jolly Green Giant status. We always use the arched panels for all of our squash , pie pumpkins and cucumbers with good luck .
Have never grown Cantaloupe , but imagine they could support themselves from hanging ?

At least that kid learned something that day!Yeah we picked up a few for a water gate and kid looks at us where is your trailer otherwise you can’t move them. Ah please pay close attention. he was literally dumbfounded.
He was a nice kid but clearly was never a member of FFA. Every time we have gone in there he has been pleasant and great attitude .At least that kid learned something that day!
A few around here could use the help...
Very nice. I was concerned they may start dropping when they get ripe. I figure they would be fine up till then.We always use the arched panels for all of our squash , pie pumpkins and cucumbers with good luck .

I do the cukes on a trellis on the edge of one of our gardens. The zukes take more work, still working on that one.Looks interesting. where do you get those arched panels?
And I think I could possibly put my cukes and zukes outside the garden footprint with one of those.
IKR? I did cukes for the first time on the cattle panel last year and I'll never let them grow across the ground again. These look like its taking it to the next level. Now i want an arch garden.. wtf. I don't even like squash. Maybe cukes for dill pickles. Wife has gotten a strawberry patch to take since last year. Have lots of raspberrys always. Hoping to do some tomatoes and jalepenos and green beans. Need more beans than last year for sure. not enough plants. Wife did watermelon last year but the GD rabbits chewed holes in them one by one as they got close to getting ripe. little bastards.
Plus makes it easier to spray the leaves with a soap solution to cut back on insects.IKR? I did cukes for the first time on the cattle panel last year and I'll never let them grow across the ground again. These look like it’s taking it to the next level.
Is this still the official 2023 gardern thread?
Might not be far behind you. I put out 30 tomato plants , peppers, tomatillos in 5 gallon buckets with a hole in the center for the tap root and drainage holes in the side. They are twice the size of the ones planted in the ground.Getting rid pf the garden this season....changing to raised beds 2' high.
So far, I like!
Rabbits hop right over it.We run an electric wire about 6 to 8 inches above the ground...this deters cats, dogs and rabbits.
