    It's the annual US comic book/sci-fi convention held in San Diego, CA.

    The guy in blue in the background is coughing saying LOSER. But alas the camera (photo) can not "record" sound yet. ;)

    What do you do at Comicon besides dress up? Are the comic artists there to meet or something?

    :dunno: never been
    From the looks of the pics I did not post there are movie stars that are in the upcoming movies (that came from comics) as well as the various comic publishing companies.

    Comics, artists, actors, vendors, etc. Time to really get your nerd on! Shatner is at this one. I think Patrick Stewart is scheduled for Chicago, but I can't open the promo at work.

    I was just curious.

    I used to buy a lot of comics, but never liked the Marvel/DC stuff. I really liked more of the black and white independent offerings. I have the first comics Slave Labor Graphics put out (Samurai Penguin) and a bunch of other stuff that probably isn't worth the price on the cover. :laugh:

    Fun is always worth the price of admission. I've got Apocalypse Suite and Crossed at home right now.

    A alot! There are hour long talks/seminars/guest panels that can be attended. Here is a link to this years programming:
    Comic-Con 2011 :: Programming Schedule
    And that one are just the programs on thursday!:D

    They have something for everyone's dork/geek/nerd obsession. They have booths that are selling/buying/trading. They usually have quite a few celebrity/guest appearances.

    There is so much that goes on that you never get to see and do it all. Here's a link to the homepage if you want to browse through it.

    When? Do you have dates?

    (Comic-con in Chicago I believe is Aug 11-14)

    Gen Con Indy is Aug 4-7, and its 50 per day or 80 for all 4 days.

    Let's put it into terms most will understand here, combine SHOT and Knob Creek add in some BLADE and multiply by 3 or 4. That is what it means to us Geeks.
