    To All,

Just looking for some generic advice from your experience.

I may be putting my first bid on Gunbroker and would like to hear your thoughts and opinions on this service. Any overall pitfalls to avoid? Is there anything I need to clarify?

The item I am buy is a small extractor part for an olde shotgun. It is a small dollar item but as it may be my first bid I want to start on the right foot as it were.

The person I may be buying from seems upfront with the cost and has listed the exact S&H amount in the auction. He will take only a certified check or money order.

Just looking for overall thoughts if you have any.

    Regards,

    Doug

What exactly are your concerns? The method of payment?

Does the seller have a good rating/positive feed back? What are the terms for returning the item if it is not as described/or you are not happy with it?

Same thing as ebay, bid-win-pay. Make sure the seller has recent activity, either buying or selling. Cause gunbroker will keep relisting an item over & over until it sells. Pitfall to avoid would be getting into a bidding war.

I have only had one experience with GB and everything went great. It will mainly depend on who you deal with as far as how the experience goes. Check the seller's feedback, and you have already verified the shipping costs so that is good. Good luck Doug, hope all goes well. :ingo:

74+ transactions here and only one problem.

Make sure you check shipping prices BEFORE you bid. If they are not listed, pm seller and ask BEFORE you bid.

Just use common sense. Check feedback.
