    Sigh...
As an owner of two out of the three knives mentioned, I will help you out and post some pics and some comments about each.
First, the boxes to prove I got them and show what they look like.

    First, the BK2

As you can see, pretty standard stuff.
    Now the LMF:

    Again, pretty standard stuff.
The BK2 is very well marked as to it's origin.
The LMF, well the packaging and blade are marked Portland OR USA, but I am not very sure.
With Gerber, it is hard to tell sometimes.
So, how do they look compared to each other?
    Well...

So as you can see, the BK2 is a brute of a knife.
It is a much thicker knife and you have the ability to change the grips out if desired.
    A good solid knife.
The LMF... also a good knife.
The grips are rubber and are comfortable.
Gerber notes that this would add a measure of electrical insulation if you mess with stuff like that.
The serrated blade is also a plus for me, I like a serrated edge for certain jobs.
The glass breaker on the end of the grip is solid.
I think the sheath on the LMF is more adaptable to various carries than the BK2.

And the LMF sheath has a built in sharpener.

    So what is the answer?
You will have to decide that.
    I ended up with both.
I think they are both good knives that I would not hesitate to grab either and go out the door with.
Hope this will help you out.

    Thank you.

I would raise the budget if i could but i am low income and need to stay within a certain range.
Raising your budget is easy! Don't go buy a junk knife just to have a knife, wait a little longer, study some more, and save! Take on extra work to make extra money if you are low income, just don't use income as an excuse not to do the diligent thing!
