FYI, looks like prices are rising again at Walmarts, at least for Federal and potentially Winchester. I had called several Walmarts yesterday for .45 ACP ammo and the Walmart in Plainfield seemed to be $1 cheaper (at $15.97) on Federal 50 round 230 gr FMJ that other Walmarts. Went in this morning to pick up a couple of boxes and they had raised their prices over night to $16.97 to be inline with the other Walmarts in the area (Avon/Brownsburg). Not sure when the others raised their prices. The WWB 100 packs are now $35.97 if they have them in stock.

Didn't price out other calibers at this time.

Midwest gun in Mishawaka and Elkhart have aquilla .40 for $10.99 and 230gr FMJ .45 for $13.99

Thats about as cheap as I have seen in some time. The same .45 is $2 more on AIM

Not sure on the spec of the .40, dont have one so didnt really pay attention too much.

Meijer in Kokomo has 10 boxes of .40S&W Winchester PDX1 hollow points clearenced down 50% to just under $12 each. I don't have anything to shoot them out of, otherwise they wouldn't have them anymore!

This forum is great! Good to finally discover more of "us" out here, society is putting such a squeeze on this activity, against our Constitutional rights its getting tough to find sources! Thanks!

Who is the best online supplier of 9mm ammo? I dont want to buy a box or 2 here and there. Id just as soon buy a case at a time. Thinking about getting a new XD 5.25 for multigun. Maybe.

Dick's has 9mm on sale as well as some others. UMC 50 rd $11.98

Thanks! Im just kicking it around and trying to not reload 9mm AND 45 AND 223. I was under the impression 9mm can be bought for close to what it costs to reload.

Tnek, there is still savings for 9mm. It costs under $8.00 to reload with 124 grain plated bullets, vs $12 as posted. In addition to saving $4, I get to shoot the same ammo every time, not having to compensate for bullet weight and velocity variables. We have all seem someone show up at a match with some untried ammo that would not run in their pistol. .40 and .45 ammo is greater savings. I load .40 for just over $8.00 and .45 for about $8.50.

I have reloaded 45 for a long time. And I agree with you on saving money. It just seems the last time I actually considered a 9mm the price diff was a lot closer. I guess if I do go the 5.25 route I will end up loading for it.
    Thanks!
