As of 8 am Saturday morning the Wal-Mart in New Castle has about a dozen boxes of 5.56mm Winchester 55 grain for 12.27 per box.

Handgun ammo was scarce with 1 box of 38 Special and a few boxes of 380 and 32 auto but nothing else.

.22 ammo was zero, zilch nada.

If .40 is such a popular caliber by both civilian and law enforcement, how come if there's any ammo left behind for sale it most often seems to be .40? Am I the only one who is experiencing this?

Ive been looking for .40 for some time and in my area I haven't seen 40 or 45. Avon had some 9 about a week ago but some guy called all his buddies to buy everything up before I could get some should have gone earlier.

Walmart has changed their last month announcement idicating they had made a decision not to remain in reselling ammo. Now they have made another statement saying that the earlier statement was not true and they plan on continuing to be the largest seller of firearms & ammunition.

Meh, until things settle down, it will all be gobbled up, regardless. We're just saving each other some gas and time. We're being green.

Its a gamble, Emmerson/465 (Beach Grove) or 96th St (Fishers) Walmarts are my main on the way home from work stops (If) I feel lucky (mostly bad luck) or stop for fuel. Hearing there may be some there, has filled me with hope a few times, but it sucks to hear about it was there, or get skunked when cold stopping and shopping. The only time lately I got any 9mm/.40 was a lucky stop one day. Still I check here daily, and report (as you do) my finds. Need a box of 9 fed and a Box of .40 Fed for this thursday Valentines day shoot with the Boss (wife).

I normally check the Noblesville and Fishers Walmarts daily. If I see something I will grab you a box of each. If not, then I can sell/trade you the ammo you need. Let me know.
