I use Gibbs to treat the bore of a firearm after it has been cleaned. Also, Gibbs on the metal parts to deter rust. However, I feel it may be a little too light for trigger, sear, bolt carrier, bolt or metal-on-metal wear areas. Would be interesting to actually try Gibbs on the bolt & carrier of an AR, so see how it works. Currently, I use Break Free CLP on these areas.
